I enjoyed visiting many gardens in the UK and also in France this year. One that remains clearly in my mind are the beautiful gardens at the Chateau Chaumon-sur-Loire. Birthday walk on the North York Moors

Birthday walk on the North York Moors

It was my husband’s birthday at the weekend which coincided with a light scattering of snow on the moors near Osmotherley. It seemed too good an opportunity to miss and we enjoyed a circular walk from Osmotherley via Swainby, enjoying lunch there at the Rusty Bike Cafe, a haven for cyclists and walkers alike. Glad we walked that day as the snow had all but gone 24 hours later.
